Free New Car

This is one of those things that I looked into a little while ago.  I remember telling my sister about, who thought it was "intriguing".  I too believe it to be so.  After all, who doesn't want to drive a new car for free?  And if you already have a car, there are advertisers who will pay you to display one of their ads on the side of your car.  Not such a bad way to make some extra money.

So with an intent to find out more about this, I turned to the internet.  Who were these companies that were paying people to put ads on their cars?  Well, it turns out that actually finding these companies is a bit tricky.  The most difficult thing is trying to figure out exactly what to type at the search engine prompt.  Think about it.  If you do a search for "companies that pay you to put an ad on your car", you're probably just going to get links to articles like mine, letting you know that such a think actually exists.  You can't search by company name, because you don't know the company name.  That's what you're looking for.  Asking random companies up front is also a bad idea.  First of all, it's like trying to find a needle in a hay stack.  Secondly, you're likely to look like a complete idiot when you start asking, and no one has any idea what you're talking about.  Imagine the scene in the movie "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" when Pee Wee goes to Texas and asks to see the basement in the Alamo.

Luckily, there are directories out there that contain the names of companies that provide this type of service.  From what I can tell, getting one of these directories is the most feasible way to find these companies.

The good news is that there are companies that pay you to put an advertisement on your car.  The bad news is that getting started isn't a quick process.  I've heard of waiting lists and things like that.  I've never actually done it, but apparently it could take as long as 90 days to get an ad on your car, or to get a free car to drive.  So maybe it's a good idea for those who are patient and persistent.
